Fri. Mar. 16, 2012	C/SIS Board Meeting prior to Camp Grieshem Retreat

Sat Mar. 31, 2012	Northwest Conference Spring Gathering will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Coatsburg, Illinois.  Registration and coffee hour will begin at 9:30 am in the fellowship hall.  Following this gathering, there will be a worship and a program.  Before the luncheon there will also be a short meeting concerning new leadership for the conference.  [Map] For more information call Sharon Johnson at 217-743-6220 or Patty Stinson at 217-997-2133.
Sat. Mar. 31, 2012	Northeast Conference Spring Gathering  will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury, Illinois. Sign-in will be at 8:30 A.M. and the fee for lunch is $8.00. Kay Price will present BOLD WOMEN , BOLD SPIRIT.  All women of the synod are invited[Map]
Sun. Apr. 29, 2012	The Southern Conference of Women of the ELCA will join with Lutheran Men in Mission will hold their Spring Gathering on Sunday (April 29, 2012) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church 1501 Broeking Road in Marion, IL 62959.  Registration is at 2:30 pm and Devtions at 3:00 pm.  Hugh and Paulette Stempsley will share their personal experience of travelling with Marrion Medical Mission of Malawi, Africa to dig wells that provide clean water to African villages. Following the speaker, the LMM break away for their business meeting and the Women stay in the Chapel for their meeting , then we all come together again in the fellowship hall for an evening meal, prepared by the Women from Our Redeemer.  We collect a $5 donation from everyone at the registration. We do ask guest to RSVP no later than April 23rd with a number for the cooks... and that is MY job,  RSVP to Barbara Froemling at 618-426-3253 or email  afbf@egyptian.net.   The physical offering will be food pantry items, cleaning items and personal care items to support the Marion Ministerial Alliance Soup Kitchen. Sat.   Apr. 21, 2012	Northern Conference of Women of the ELCA will be Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Bartonville at  St. John Lutheran Church, 6614 W. Smithville, Road. Speaker for the event is Ella Maxwell from Hoerr Nursery and the theme for the event is New Life Celebration. Women will also be doing a hands-on project making net corsages and learing more about the ELCA Malaria Campaign. Working through Lutheran churches in Africa, the ELCA Malaria Campaign is uniquely positioned to probvide mosquito nets, insectidies, health care, education, medications, and more to eliminate death from this disease. Registration 8:45am-9:15am Lunch 11:40 Offerings will go to C/SIS Synodical WELCA and ELCA Malaria Campaign Registration fee is $10.00 and due by April 13, 2012 Please make checks payable to Women of the ELCA, Northern Conference.
